A Boston-based feminist therapy collective, Womanspace began in 1975 and closed in 1981 due to financial problems. It provided counseling, referral and educational services to individual women, couples, families, and groups; held workshops, seminars, and conferences on feminist theory, ethnicity, and racism; was a consultant to agencies and schools; published several bibliographies on the psychology and counseling of women; and provided internships for women in counselor-education programs.
